Christmas From Heaven

Sounds like a letter Mom would write:

The Promise

It's Christmas time once more and memories flood my mind of moments, time and loved ones. This is such a beautiful time and yet times of grief seem to be present. I miss my Precious Mom. That phrase is a norm and repeated often in conversation over coffee with my Sweet Husband or while with friends. Mom was Beautiful, Kind, a Woman of Faith, Who loved God, her family, and all. She Loved Christmas and her decorating proved such. She was a Blessing in so many ways and I Thank God for giving her to us and the time allowed.

This will be the first Christmas without my Mom. My Precious Mom passed away April 16, 2015 and though the date continues to become a distant reminder, it seems like yesterday. I was with her everyday, from diagnosis to last breath. I miss her.

Life is ever changing, always up, down, and a little between. The promise provided by God's gift of hope through Jesus Christ is steady and available. It gives me strength, insight, and hope. It is a lesson often taught over the years through the life of my Precious Mom. Though loved ones go for now, time keeps passing, peace can be found in His Promise. I'm reminded that in the good or bad, God is There.  In the times that don't make sense, God provides Comfort through His word. No matter the situation, God can turn things around for the good.

Christmas will be different this year without my Mom, but there's a peace in His promise of Hope and Love that last Forever -  I know that's exactly what my Mom would say if she were face to face with me.  Christmas is a reminder that there is still laughter to be shared, memories to be made, kindness to show, times of Joy to be experienced and Love. Christmas is a sweet reminder that life can be filled once more with His Promise. It's the Promise of Hope, Faith, and Love. A promise that last now into Eternity.

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
